A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT' FITTED WITH TRANTER'S DOUBLE-TRIGGER, serial no. 20200Y,
circa 1856, with 6 1/2in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving at breech, plain cylinder with engraved border to leading edge, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame, the top-strap signed 'W. ROWNTREE, BARNARD CASTLE, spurless hammer, Tranter numbered trigger and rammer, chequered walnut one piece grip, minimal traces of finish, together with its mahogany storage case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a period flask, Tranter's patent bullet mould, cleaning rod, oil bottle and tins for caps and balls
